I’d feel uncomfortable driving under those tracks in a normal car. No way does it look even remotely likely that any sort of truck is going to fit. Good job, buddy.

This is my personal favorite truck stuck under bridge situation:

Damn yeah 10 ft is super low, the infamous can opener brid ge is 11'8"

Why doesn’t this bridge have a Youtube channel

They raised it some, but it still occasionally gets trucks.

I bet they were using the metric system in the truck

Wow, that’s fantastic.

Something looks fishy about that bridge.

Or they sell fine food but their fish is mediocre.

That reminds me to share this with you. This bridge is over a real paved road in Marion, Arkansas, although the asphalt kind of gives up under the bridge. My concern going under was more the width than the height (good thing someone spray painted the height on it), along with a little niggling fear that the whole thing might collapse on me.

I think the 11'8" bridge was a bit of sweet-spot for “low enough to hit trucks, but tall enough that an in attentive driver might think they could fit at a glace”. 10' is probably low enough that fewer people make the attempt.

Fish are friends, not food.

Hah. I’ve done a fun one or two like this myself but thankfully the Fiat is small enough that there’s always room (well, everywhere but beneath the car) . I’d hate to drive a modern pickup through that.
Reminds me a little bit of the semis who decide that they’ll drive In dependence Pass because the fine is worth the shortcut. Then they get to the point where it’s obvious why the road is closed to trucks.

Not gone let The Man tell them where they can drive, eh? Probably have CW McCall on the stereo when they make that decision too.

The stupid thing about that bridge is, if there is any doubt whatsoever about fitting underneath, they only have to turn and go up the road and drive over the sodding track.
Ye’, isn’t it called 11foot8+8.

Once found myself at a 10'6" bridge in a 10'6" truck with no way to turn around. That was a nervous moment

Eeeeeeeeeeek.

I had to let air out of the tires on my Xterra to clear low hanging lights in a parking garage. Only broke 1 or 2.

P ersonally, I’ve gone in for any of that EEC/Channel Tunnel nonsense.
My car gets 528,000 rods to the hogshead, and that’s the way I like it.

That’s what the YouTube channel calls it now.
Also, they have a GIANT FLASHING SIGN that tells you if a truck won't fit which makes it even more impressive when people hit it

cowards, all of them

Well I can only guess the driver was hungry, didn’t have a tin opener and so used the bridge as one instead.
